Glyphs and Script support
Devadot is a Devanagari-first typeface where most of the basic glyphs fit in a 8x8 grid. You can expect all the Consonants, Half-forms, Conjuncts and Matras to be present to form an actual usable font for all possible texts and sentence formations.
Devadot also supports the Basic Latin characters, Western European letters and Marks along with the Arabic Numerals. As a bonus, it also has some wingdings(?) because why not.
Why Devadot?
Devanagari is often considered a complex script, which has contributed to a smaller range of typefaces compared to Latin. As a result, experimental and functional Devanagari typefaces remain relatively uncommon. Devdot stretches the script’s possibilities and broaden perspectives on how complex glyphs can be played with, visually.
